Dairy Free Essentials Plant-Based Mozzarella Launches into 881 Woolworths Stores at only $1 above dairy equivalent

Bruce McIntyre chats with Imber Lingard

The news of the Dairy Free Essentials branded Mozzarella placement with Woolworths was announced at the Alternative Proteins Global Sydney network night, hosted by founder Nicholas Dahl.

Imber Lingard, the MD of a group of plant-based cheese brands including Imber’s Pantry, Fine Cultures and now Dairy Free Essentials, was rightly so excited with the opportunity and response by consumers with reports that some stores are selling out.

Imber describes the functionality and taste of the mozzarella as a real success, ‘the mozzarella is in an authentic cheese brine and can be sliced, grated or pulled apart that can be eaten cold or melted in the traditional way, that is flexible in its use, and that meets consumer expectations on taste, texture and price”.

Future product lines are in development to deliver a broader offering under the Dairy Free Essentials brand.

Congrats Imber and team for delivering a plant-based cheese that meets the taste, texture and price expectations of consumers.

Imber’s company is a member of the APBA, we are proud to support our members and celebrate good news as it happens.
